GooGle Open Social - New Era of Social NetworkingHave you joined on social networking likes Myspace, Linkedin or FaceBook ?. FYI, Now your details is already targeted by Internet Business. Wait is not about cracking for find your identity, so read this one…..

For a few last day ago, on 30 october 2007 , Google launched an standart programming or API (Application Programming Interface) which called Open Social. This API could make software developer to create an application on host bases and can accessing or using private data from several portals likes Orkut, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Ning, Hi5, Plaxo, Friendster, Viadeo dan Oracle. In addition this application could using information about relationship each others, about activities, and updates relevantly on profiles.

Google is not the First
In Fact of this all about, Google is not the First.Their punked by Microsoft for Facebook.com by investing $240 million in Facebook for 1.6 of the social-networking site. The Facebook is launched wich called by Facebook Platform. This Standart Programming is for building up an application with accessing data facilities from each members, of this all facilities they called as Social Graph .

But this program have a different implementation, Its program need to running with their own language which created by Facebook and only running on FaceBook. In other condition Open Social application could build up with Javascript and HTML language and this program is compatible across multiple websites and developers can create apps that access a social network’s friends and update feeds.

in order for developers to get started immediately, Orkut has opened a limited sandbox that you can use to start building apps using the OpenSocial APIs.

Server Optional
OpenSocial is built upon Google Gadget technology, so you can build a great, viral social app with little to no serving costs. With the Google Gadget Editor and a simple key/value API, you can build a complete social app with no server at all. Of course, you can also host your application on your own servers if you prefer. In all cases, Google’s gadget caching technology can ease your bandwidth demands should your app suddenly become a worldwide success.

 

The web is more interesting when you can build apps that easily interact with your friends and colleagues. But with the trend towards more social applications also comes a growing list of site-specific APIs that developers must learn.

I’m so interested to see , how could you do on social networking ?.This social Networking It’s not only share your words and story, So, it’s not strangely to see why any online business trying to get your details and relations of each other individual.

Now, we can say Facebook, is in hype or Facebook is the raising star with their popularity 73,5 in September 2007, and it’s still growing up. Just like Blogger.com. Google surely want’s to behave opportunities to put in their advertising into Facebook which have high potential for advertising.

After all, I think Google have a good vision with their own social media, with their tyranny. So in my prediction it’s would take two years for Google to Win, in other condition Facebook will just be a second if Facebook with their supporting( Microsoft ) should be not change their language or system for still fast growing up.

    I just get pawned with FaceBook. I really love the apps.
    Google should bought Friendster a long time ago (which is rejected by friendster’s CEO) and it’s a bold move to take a risk at a social networking these days. i’ll tell you why

    1. Social networking needs a great, not boring and attractive design, features, and of course, a popularity. The developer also needs to update their material. Don’t be like Friendster. Friendster are really having a slow growth about the feature.

    2. Make the social networking not just about ‘making friend online’ and show who you are on the net. Think about the purposes. Why we build this social networking? is it for dating? is it for collecting the interestingness? 8apps.com is really a nice social networking, but their unpopular.

    3. In Indonesia, they just know Friendster as a great social networking but Friendster really lack of features.

      yeah.. I’m Totally agree about “In Indonesia, they just know Friendster as a great social networking”, and my question is why so many Indonesian people like Friendster…? including me … :-) . But now I’m not the one of them again.. :-) ….now I’ really really love Blogging…
